Step 1. Use your thumb and fingers to hold the chin strap open. The mouthpiece
will balance on your index and middle finger. |
Step 2. When introducting the bit, place your thumb in the corner of the mouth, then
apply slight downward pressure to open the mouth. Use your fingers to
guide the mouthpiece as your right hand lifts the headstall pulling the bit into
the mouth. When the bit is in the horse's mouth, use your right
hand to postition the headstall behind the ears. |
